Lemon Rice, Immunity booster Pasta recipe – Step by step description

  • Use raw rice only.
  • Soak the rice for 20 minutes after rinsing twice.
  • Boil water 1.0 litre
  • Add soaked Sonamasoori raw rice 200 grams, add salt and 1 tbsp of cooking oil, cook the rice for 90%.
  • Drain the extra water. Spread the cooked rice on a plate to bring to room temperature.
  • Add lemon juice 2 tbsp without seeds after the rice cools down.
  • In a pan, add 50ml of cooking oil, 1/2 tsp of black mustard, 2 tsp of urad dal, also add Bengal gram dal 2 tbsp to bring crunchiness.
  • Add 5 red chilli, curry leaves, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp asafoetida, and fry well.
  • Add the fried mix into the rice and mix well. Add salt as required.
  • Serve with either potato chips or coconut chutney or onion sambar.

  • Sonamasoori raw rice – 200 grams
  • Cooking oil 50ml
  • Black mustard – 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Urad dal – 2 tsp
  • Bengal gram dal 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli – 5
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp
  • Salt – As required
